Predicted XI: Napoli (A)

It’s our first away Champions League tonight, and away Champions League games are always a tough test! I’m not sure Klopp will rotate much for this game but I think he’ll go for a solid centre midfield three.

Alisson: Alisson had his toughest test on Saturday away at Anfield, and as far as I’m concerned passed it with flying colours! His experience in Italy will be absolutely vital!

Alexander-Arnold: Trent looked like he was on a one man mission to get Salah a goal, with some delicious passes. Was maybe caught out of position for Hazard’s goal, will need to be on his toes in Naples.

Gomez: Gomez was awesome again against Chelsea on Saturday, and was never more impressive than catching up with Willian together with Van Dijk when he was bearing down on goal. Gets more and more impressive every game, and is teetering on the verge of undroppable.

van Dijk: What more can be said of van Dijk that hasn’t been said already. Played in pain on Saturday, was many’s choice for man of the match, is there a better centre back pairing in the league than van Dijk and Gomez.

Robertson: “Robbo” wasn’t at his best on Saturday, getting caught out of position or under the ball a couple of times. His stamina and energy is always a plus, and he’s fit he always has to start for me.

Wijnaldum: Gini was impressive for us again in the second half of the Chelsea game, once he got to grips with Kovacic. Holding the fort, whilst Fabinho gets to grips with life and tactics in Liverpool, but he has a battle on his hands taking the defensive midfielder position away from Gini. He’s another player who’s had an impressive start to the 2018/19 season.

Henderson: I think Klopp will go with Henderson’s experience over Keita’s bravery and exuberance in this tie. Got some, I believe unwarranted criticism for the match against Chelsea. I believe Klopp will want his captain on the field in this Champions League match.

Milner: Milner has been great this season, but watching him lately I think he looks tired, maybe two games a week is too much for James now, and potentially we’ll see him start rotating with Keita.

Mané: Mané has probably been our strongest of the front free so far this season, and his come out of the starting blocks at a great old pace. Always willing to try something different, and doesn’t shy away from tracking back and the dirty work.

Firmino: He was quiet against Chelsea, but I believe he’s on of Klopp’s first names on the team shirt. Came off the bench to run us the game against PSG, I feel this is a competition that Bobby really shines in.

Salah: Salah getting attention in the media that he’s not been used to,  with pundits talking about what he’s not going rather than what he is. Just needs one of the many attempts he’s trying to fly into the top corner, or drop into the bottom, and I’m sure he’ll be firing on all cylinders again.

Do you agree with my first XI, who would you select, who do you think the boss will select, tweet us at @TheAnfieldTalk!
