After a surprisingly easy win over West Ham at Anfield, Liverpool supporters took to twitter to celebrate the team’s promising start to the Premier League. The Anfield Talk’s Dale (@coldcoldgal) compiles the best of the reaction…
Despite early attempts being just off the mark, Salah scored the first goal of the match, picking up from last season like he was never gone. An attempt from Alexander-Arnold to make it 2-0 fell slightly short but Mane picked up the second goal less than ten minutes later. Liverpool’s raging attack in the first half appeared to have spooked West Ham into submission.
Mane was seemingly unstoppable in the second half. Liverpool were on fire as Sturridge scored with his first touch of the ball in the 84th minute. Salah, Milner, Mane and Struridge all departed the pitch as heroes whilst Allison kept a clean sheet as the pressure rose.
Klopp hugs Sturridge like he hugs a wayward son made good, and I’m not crying you’re crying

@LFC first half: possessed by demons. Second half: collected and composed. They get better every season under Klopp.

Great start! Salah & Mane look like same old, Keita is a monster & will be the difference we need! Back 4 solid & Milner/Wijnaldum working tirelessly. Great to see the depth we have on the bench as well 👏🏼#LFC
