Social Media Reacts to: Liverpool 3 PSG 2

Liverpool finally came up against a formidable opponent in the form of European giants, PSG. But even then it wasn’t enough to topple the Reds, having won the game 3-2. Fans took to twitter later to celebrate and to talk about that disallowed goal.

Van Dijk appeared to hold the back line strong, perhaps too strong, as he saw a yellow card for pulling on Mbappe. This didn’t appear to have any effect on the team though as a few minutes later Sturridge broke out his signature dance moves for an incredible header with a cross from Robertson. This was followed swiftly by a penalty from Milner, bringing the score to 2-0.

As the second half rolled on Sturridge appeared more hungry for success and the Reds were on the ball, covering a lot of ground and working hard to prevent PSG from levelling until Mbappe put one past Alisson. Firmino came on and smashed a 92nd minute goal to pull Liverpool to a win. Fabinho also made his debut and conceded a foul seconds later. You can’t win them all.
