Predicted XI: Southampton (A)
After a hard fought win against Spurs at Anfield, today we travel away to St Mary’s to take on Southampton. Here’s the lineup The Anfield Talk’s Ian (@ianyoungkop) thinks will start…
Alisson: Sunday was probably the most nervous I’ve seen Alisson since he arrived at Anfield. Hopefully that’s out of his system now.
Alexander-Arnold: Thought his delivery was a bit erratic on Sunday, but as usual his energy was nothing less than phenomenal.
Matip: Again was very good at Anfield, has deputised very well for Joe Gomez.
Van Dijk: What more can be said about Virgil that I don’t say every week, the man is a phenomenon.
Robertson: Picked out Firmino perfectly for the opening goal, and yet again, showed his energy and fitness throughout the game.
Fabinho: After I said he was one of the first names on the team sheet, he wasn’t picked against Spurs. Was fantastic when he came on later on in the match.
Wijnaldum: Thought he struggled against Spurs, and I think he looks a bit “leggy” of late, can’t see Klopp resting him though.
Lallana: Lallana seems to be picking up a few games lately, so wouldn’t be surprised if started today against his old club.
Mané: Mané was great again against Spurs on Sunday, the only thing he didn’t do was score.
Firmino: Nice header for the opening goal against Spurs, it’ll be great to have Bobby on some sort of scoring form on the final run in.
Salah: Salah’s chat with Carragher was very interesting after the last game, and shows to me that Salah has his own form and lack of goals on his mind.
That’s the team I think will take to the pitch today , do you agree with me? Tweet me at @ianyoungkop.
