Predicted XI: Huddersfield (A)

So the international break is over and  the Premier League has returned! We had a few injury concerns but despite mid week panic it seems that only Keita will be missing and possibly Mane, thumb permitting.

So who do I think will start against Huddersfield today?  here goes.

Allison : Allison since he arrived at the club from Roma has been one of our most  consistent performers, in his first few games we would say he was solid without being spectacular, but in recent matches he’s proven his worth and shown why we paid top dollar for him!

2 : Alexander Arnold : After a slow start to the season Trent hasn’t been his normal self but let’s not forget he’s only 19 and is still performing way beyond his years. His final ball has been lacking And he’s been caught out of position quite a few times but I don’t think it’ll be long before we get good old Trent back.

Gomez : Joe Gomez has surprisingly been one of Liverpool top performers this season, calm and assured Joe has looked the real deal next to Van Dijk. This seems to be the start of a beautiful partnership.

Van Dijk : Hopefully Virgil will have recovered from his rib injury before kickoff today. Surely Van Dijk has to be one of the best players in his position if not the best in the world right now. Surely if big Virgil is injury free he starts.

Robertson : Like Trent we are currently waiting for the real Andy Robertson to step forward. Another player who is not performing at the high level he set himself last season but I’m sure we’ll see the real Andy Robertson soon. Again getting caught out of position a couple of times and his delivery not being what it has been In the past, but he still has the power strength and stamina almost unmatchable by anyone else in his position in the league.

Winjaldum : Gini like Joe Gomez has been a surprise package so far becoming pretty much undroppable. His consistency has been matched by probably only Van Dijk.

Henderson : Henderson is coming in for a lot of stick this season and it seems to have affected his confidence with one great game against PSG, where he showed what he is capable of, however we need to see this more consistently from Jordan especially when we have Keita and Fabinho waiting to take his place.

Milner : After a good start to the season James seems to be slowing down a little and tiredness seems to be slipping into his game, But some Liverpool fans have written off James in the past and he’s played a pivotal role in our first XI, And I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case again.

Salah : Mo frightened us  all when he went off injured in the 88th minute playing for Egypt but it seems he’s recovered in time to take the field against Huddersfield. Hopefully after sitting out the last international game, Mo will be well rested and ready to !

Firmino : Bobby is another player who had a slow start to the season, but seems to be getting back into form, the last couple of games, rumours of interest from Barcelona will have got Liverpool fans a little bit worried after his pal ( Coutinho) moved there last season.

Shaqiri : I doubt today the club will risk Mane after he broke is thumb playing in midweek, So this could be another chance for Xherdan to shine! Pretty much impressing every time he has took to the field Liverpool fans are excited to see Shaqiri get a run of games And show the world what he can do!
