Predicted XI: Barcelona (H)

It’s time to dust ourselves off get back up, and show the world what me our made of, we have a mountainous task ahead of us, but could tonight be one of “those nights”. Here’s the starting eleven that The Anfield Talk’s Ian (@ianyoungkop) thinks will take to the field…

Alisson: Starting to believe some of our defenders are putting Alisson under unneeded pressure with some of their back passing. It’s ok to use him, but use him sparingly and when needed.

Alexander-Arnold: Trent showed is what we missed when he didn’t play against Barcelona last week at the weekend. I think if we are to turn this around, set pieces are going to be important.

Van Dijk: Didn’t have his best game against Newcastle but was still impressive.

Gomez: As good as Matip is, I’m ready to see Gomez back partnering Virgil in defence. I think Gomez’s pace could be vital with us chasing 3 goals.

Robertson: I thought Robertson’s delivery against Barcelona was disappointing, but hopefully he’ll pick out, whoever gets that central striking role.

Fabinho: With rest of the team chasing 3 goals, Fabinho will have a thankless task trying to keep Barcelona at bay.

Henderson: Jordan again was disappointing at Newcastle, we’ll need a captains performance from him if we are to progress tonight.

Wijnaldum: I’d be tempted to go with Ox tonight in this position but I’m not fully aware of his fitness and I don’t think Klopp will make that call anyway.

Mané: Mané will be wanting to banish the memory of “that” miss from last week, and what better way but to fire us to the Champions League final.

Origi: Like I said previously, I believe set pieces could be important for us tonight. Origi’s present seems to cause bedlam in the oppositions half.

Shaqiri: If we are going to take full advantage of our set pieces tonight, Shaqiri could be vital.

That’s the team I think will take to the pitch tonight, do you agree with me? Tweet me at @ianyoungkop.
