Mané (17′), Salah (77′, 83′)

THE SIMON MIGNOLET REDS ARE AT IT AGAIN.

Sadio Mané got the Reds up and running with a dinked finish, but Liverpool had to dig in and fight before Mo Salah came on and made football look like the easiest thing in the world.

Up Simon Mignolet’s Tricky Reds.

Simon Mignolet- 6/10
I don’t know if him kicking their lad up in the air was appalling goalkeeping or absolutely fantastic goalkeeping. Otherwise made some good punches and was generally sound.‬

‪Two games as captain. Two wins. ‬

‪Make of that what you will. ‬
Joe Gomez- 7/10
Was decent going forward and was generally good defensively.
Joel Matip- 7/10
Some properly dodgy clearances but was otherwise solid. Showed good aggression.
Dejan Lovren- 8/10
Same as above, minus the bit about the crosses. Dealt with Crouch well.
Alberto Moreno- 6/10
Went for a wander and was caught positionally once or twice, which coincided with everyone else’s heads completely falling off. Was otherwise sound.
Emre Can- 7/10
Looked solid alongside Wijnaldum, though there was a short period where everything seemed to completely bypass the two of them.
Georginio Wijnaldum- 7/10
Same as above. Quiet but impressive, and certainly not anonymous.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain- 7/10
Looked bright as he looked to be direct. Starting to really fit in well in this Liverpool side.
Sadio Mané- 8/10
Gets the opener and should have the second, but hits the post. Also gets the assist for one of Salah’s goals.
Dominic Solanke- 7/10
Nice to see him feature and good to see him linking well and moving well with the other forwards. Unlucky not to have a goal.
Roberto Firmino- 7/10
Looked good having been rested against Chelsea. Facilitated a lot of the other good stuff that happened around him, and nice of him not to tap in Mané’s shot.

Substitutes
Mohamed Salah- 10/10
I think it’s quite clear by now that he’s the greatest footballer to have ever lived. Two goals, and if he keeps up this form he’ll probably have a hundred by May.
James Milner- 6/10
Quiet and gorgeous in equal measure.
Jordan Henderson- 10/10
Ran on the pitch and looked gorgeous.

The Terrific Tangerine- 10/10
Sublime.
