Player Ratings: Liverpool 2 Tottenham 2

Salah (3′, 91′) // Wanyama (80′), Kane (90+4′ P)

I’d be made up if it was announced tomorrow morning that referees were being sacked and replaced by robots.

Two incorrect decisions have ruined the game, cost Liverpool points, and stolen the spotlight from a game that was bookended by two moments of absolute genius from Mo Salah.

The first where he sends Lloris the wrong way, and the second where he jinks and swerves and stays strong and makes a show of Lloris again.

But this was ruined when Jon Moss allowed his decision to be overruled by a linesman who he had previously dismissed with ease. But it’s sound, because who cares about correct decisions and points, it’s all about ‘drama’ and being an ‘advert for the Premier League’.

Fuck off Jon Moss.

Loris Karius- 8/10
I’ve been more than happy to slate Karius in the past but I thought he did really well today. Makes some really good saves and don’t think you can attach any blame to him for the goals. The pundits can get to absolute fuck scrutinising him so much. Smart penalty save.
Trent Alexander-Arnold- 8/10
Bossed the right hand side of the pitch and put in some wonderful crosses. Probably unlucky not to walk off with an assist.
Dejan Lovren- 8/10
Great performance. Won loads of headers, loads of anticipation and aggression. Didn’t deserve to ship two goals and I hope to see him playing with van Dijk a lot more.
Virgil van Dijk- 8/10
As with Lovren, I thought he was very good. Limited Spurs’ chances and is very unlucky to see a penalty harshly awarded against him.
Andrew Robertson- 6/10
Some good defensive work in the first but thought he was poor in the second half. Every time he regained possession he just lumped it forwards which wasn’t helping anyone.
Emre Can- 7/10
Think he did alright. Definitely faded as the game went on and he struggled in the second half.
Jordan Henderson- 8/10
Excellent first half, with some key tackles, interceptions and pressing. Played some absolutely wonderful passes too, most notably one to Mané and one to Salah. Thought bringing him off weakened us.
James Milner- 7/10
Loads of pressing. Set piece delivery seemed to be generally good. As with Henderson, thought him coming off weakened us.
Sadio Mané- 5/10
Really struggled this evening. Couple of times where I thought it looked like he was overthinking things and actually slowing down play.
Roberto Firmino- 6/10
A quiet game but loads of pressing as always. Think he struggled to make an impact.
Mohamed Salah- 8/10
Wonderful reactions for the first. Thought he was a bit wasteful at times but his second is glorious. Nothing short of exquisite. Made Hugo Lloris his little bitch.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain- N/A
Lost the ball a lot.
Georginio Wijnaldum- N/A
Can’t really say I noticed him.
Joel Matip- N/A
Same as above.

Dele Alli- 0/10
Diving prick and handballed it. Should have been off.
Harry Kane- 0/10
Diving prick and his IQ matches his ratings.

Jon Moss- 0/10
Bet he picked up a pretty pay cheque at the end. Gave Tottenham everything, overruled his lino for the first penalty but was all too happy to listen for the second. Fat, cheating shithouse.

Both penalties were offside, Harry Kane dives, and Erik Lamela actively looks for the contact despite van Dijk pulling away.

The Lino Prick- 0/10
Absolutely dumbfounded how a linesman with a worse view than the referee can be so certain as to overrule a decision with such vigour and delight. Check his pockets on the way out of the stadium because I’ll bet he’s got a wedge of cash in one of them.
