Milner (45′ pen), Mané (90+3′)
THE REDS ARE CAUSING A FUME.
It’s gorgeous. They’re gorgeous.
Mo Salah gets a penalty that everyone thinks isn’t a penalty but it absolutely is a penalty. Mamadou Sakho is absolute rubbish and it is a penalty.
James Milner tucks it away. Fume. Gorgeous.
Mo Salah gets brought down by their last man and he gets sent off and it is absolutely a foul and a red card. Everyone else is fuming. Gorgeous.
Sadio Mané and Mo Salah race away in the last minute from one of their corners and sticks away the second, giving the Reds a 0-2 win in a midst of South London fume and pyro.
Up the fume-causing Reds.
Alisson Becker- 8/10
He’s dead good, isn’t he? He makes me think of that Guardiola thing, that he wants a team of eleven midfielders. Alisson would fit right in that team. Played more passes than each of their front three.
Trent Alexander-Arnold- 8/10
Defended against Zaha well on the whole, didn’t do as well going forward as he could’ve done but a strong showing considering what happened last time out.
Joe Gomez- 9/10
Haven’t been massively convinced by him at centre half so far but last night was an impressive showing. Made a particular good tackle in the first half.
Virgil van Dijk- 9/10
Just heads everything away. It’s like his head’s a magnet. The coolest player on the pitch, doesn’t get flustered by anything.
Andrew Robertson- 8/10
Like Trent, he could’ve been better going forward but defended well. Best left back in the world.
James Milner- 7/10
Was good. 32 years of age and still the business. Tucked away the penalty like it was easy.
Georginio Wijnaldum- 7/10
Was good in the first half, but faded in the second. Popped up again by the end and put in a great tackle in his own box.

Naby Keïta- 9/10
Does the greatest turn and absolutely sends their lad for a pallet of Echo’s, puts in a delicious ball for Salah to balloon over the bar. Probably spent the next ten minutes fuming.
Sadio Mané- 8/10
Looked to get at their defence all night, absolutely had them on toast once or twice. Was great for his goal, showed loads of strength and determination to stay on his feet when it would’ve been easier to go down.
Roberto Firmino- 7/10
Was very quiet but I still think he influenced a lot, even just by his presence. Hope he hits last season’s form again soon.
Mohamed Salah- 7/10
Don’t think he was great, but he still won a penalty, got some sent off and got an assist. Cop for that.
Jordan Henderson- 8/10
Came on when the Reds looked a bit iffy and sorted them right out.
Adam Lallana- N/A
Came on. Shit haircut. Gave away a free kick.
Daniel Sturridge- 10/10
The rest of the league hating the Reds- Priceless
